No we havent disappeared off the face of the earth, we have been dashing around getting ready for a busy season of shows and promotions. February saw us in London at the Borough Market where Turnips once again did us proud. TV chef Aldo Zilli visited us and was later seen carrying our bottle around the market. We are looking forward to hearing his comments. Unfortunately Lawrence Keogh from Roast Restaurant was filming in America so we were uanble to see him, but we visited his Restaurant for the famous Full Borough Breakfast, which was delicious, and it was lovely to see our oil so prominantly displayed on the counter.
We are thrilled to see that James Martin is using our oil on Saturday Morning Kitchen this season, and Richard Fox is also using our oil for his new television series- details to be released in April.
Geoff and Stephen are busy planting the Oil seed rape ready for this years harvest. The words Boys with their toys spring to mind - See photos below!

We won! What a fantastic night and achievement that was. Our thanks must go to all who were involved in the judging and to those (whoever they are) that nominated us. It really has crowned a fantastic year for us. Thank you again.

What a busy two months. After having major panics about the rain on our rapeseed (and potatoes) we have now managed to collect all the cereal and rapeseed harvest and have just started on the potatoes. In between we have been running around at various shows:-
Leighton Hall, Dalemain House, Harewood Steam Rally, Nantwich Food festival, the list goes on, some better attended than others, but all enjoyable, and how nice to meet customers and chefs who are all so appreciative of the oil. Richard Fox (Food Poker and Fox on the Run) now uses the oil for everything bless him!
We have a big night tonight - we are finalists in the Yorkshire Life Awards and have been invited to attend the ceremony. It will be a change to wear our 'glad rags' rather than our wellies. It is Geoff's and my turn to attend tonight, so keep your fingers crossed for us!

Tockwith Show this week, fortunately Foot and Mouth did not seem to affect the support for the show at all. Although the work that the committee did to enable the show to continue was fantastic - I dont think any of them slept the night before the show! It was a lovely day and loads of people there. Somebody even came especially for the oil. Being a local show to us, it was lovely to see old friends and catch up.
We went to Dalemain House in Penrith in July with our oil and met some more lovely people. The chef there was Richard Fox, who was delighted with the oil, and the people on the stall next door, Lorraine and Mike were great. People at these shows are really friendly and so helpful 'to the new person on the block'. I am looking forward to meeting up with them again at Harewood.

We have been told that James Martin has used our oil often on his Saturday morning cookery programme. Unfortunately we havent seen the programme - too busy bottling oil! Hopefully the programmes will be repeated and we can see them again.

We have had a really interesting time at the NEC Birmingham this week. We met some lovely people, James Martin used our oil again in his demonstrations, which was great. We will definately be there again in November to see everyone again.
Friday 1 June
What a week! Last weekend we were at Castle Howard for the Food Festival, our second show and James Martin was most kind, using our oil in all his demonstrations. He was really enthusiastic about its properties.
Food Festival Bramham
Our first show! We have been delighted with the response we had from everyone, and Brian Turner spoke to us after using our oil in his demonstrations. He told us "I wouldnt use it if I didnt believe in it". What a lovely man!

Saturday 14 April
A customer has just advised us that James Martin was using our oil, and saying how good it was on the Saturday morning Cookery programme. Can things get any better!!

This is a new venture for us and we are very pleased to be involved with something that we are sure will be the English alternative to Olive Oil. Everyone we have spoken to has been suprised and delighted with the delicious flavour.
Over the next few weeks we are hoping to be featured in various Yorkshire publications and we will look forward to receiving your comments either by email or by telephone.
Heres to the future.
